SQAIRZ Footwear Delivers Measurable Performance Gains for 82% of Athletes in CURVE Sports Regional West Showcase Testing

SQAIRZ, the performance footwear company built on the belief that better movement starts with a better foundation, today announced new performance data gathered during the CURVE Sports Regional West Showcase demonstrating measurable improvements in hitting performance when athletes switched from their personal footwear to SQAIRZ baseball footwear. Across two days of testing, 150 athletes completed 1,655 recorded swings, establishing performance baselines in their own footwear before hitting in SQAIRZ. The results showed that 82% of the athletes tested improved either peak exit velocity, average exit velocity or both while wearing SQAIRZ.

Assistant superintendents chosen for ninth class of EXCEL Leadership Program

Eight assistant superintendent members of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) have been chosen for the ninth class of the EXCEL Leadership Program, which is funded by Nufarm. The three-year program offers leadership training for personal, career and community/industry stewardship for assistant superintendents – the future leaders in the golf course management industry. The EXCEL Leadership Program features two, three-day education and training sessions and a trip to the annual GCSAA Conference and Trade Show.

PGA of America Golf Professional Chad Parker Earns PGA Master Professional Designation

The PGA of America has announced that Chad Parker, PGA, President and General Manager of East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, has earned PGA Master Professional status, the highest educational designation available within the Association. Parker becomes the 488th PGA Member to achieve the designation since the PGA Master Professional program was established in 1969. He earned the designation in Executive Management, one of three areas of specialization within the program.

Mount Graham Golf Club Welcomes New General Manager

Mount Graham Golf Club has appointed Aaron Medina as its new general manager. Medina, a Gila Valley native, previously served as the club’s assistant general manager. In his new role, Medina will oversee all aspects of the golf course, the Double ‘R’ Bar & Grill restaurant, and golf shop operations. Medina brings over six years of management experience in golf course operations, hospitality, customer service, and team leadership.
