The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) is excited to announce the Eastside Golf Championship at Forest Lake, July 20-23, 2026, at Forest Lake Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The event will bring together top junior golfers from around the world to compete at one of the premier courses in the Midwest. The championship marks the introduction of Eastside Golf as the event’s title sponsor. Founded in 2019, Eastside Golf is a lifestyle golf brand dedicated to inspiring a new generation of players by blending culture, fashion and the game of golf.

Two years ago, Lulu Gribbin and friends were swimming at Seacrest Beach on Florida’s Gulf Coast, searching for sand dollars, when a friend screamed the dreaded word. “Shark!!!!” A bull shark had attacked the group. When the 15-year-old Gribbin looked down, she could see flesh on her arm. The shark had bitten her twice. Beachgoers helped get her out of the water and tourniquets were applied. While still in the hospital, Gribbin and her parents reached out to Eric Eshleman, PGA of America Secretary and Director of Golf at the Country Club at Birmingham, explaining her desire to get serious about golf.

The Advocates Professional Golf Association (APGA), a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring an inclusive future through the game of golf, announced today that Jarrad Turner, an industry veteran with vast experience in athletics, leadership and purpose-driven fundraising, has been hired as the organization’s Director of Development.

BOYNE Golf has named T.R. Hollis its new Director of Golf Sales and Marketing. Logan Country Club, founded in 1932, is one of the oldest golf courses in the State of Utah and draws on a storied history spanning decades. Those decades of time can build an impressive aura of service to the community, but it can also suffer from the ravages of time, as course conditions and agronomic growth can adversely affect playability and the original vistas over the Wasatch National Forest and Mountains.  A big reveal came in 2024 at the end of the remodel, when Logan Country Club was once again selected to host the State Amateur Championships. This tournament is the longest-running State Amateur in the country and is the pinnacle event for Utah State golf. Giants Ridge – Minnesota’s premier all-seasons recreation area set in the rugged beauty of the Mesabi Iron Range – announces the reopening of its top-rated golf courses, The Quarry and The Legend, for the 2026 season. The Quarry will open for play on May 1, while play will commence on its older sibling, The Legend, on May 9. Tee times are currently being accepted for both courses.

Kawonu Golf Club, the private golf-only club under construction near Greenville, South Carolina, has begun sodding and grassing operations on the club’s 18-hole championship course, marking a significant milestone in the project’s progress toward a 2027 opening. Course architect Andrew Green designed Kawonu to follow the natural contours of the land, routing holes through rolling terrain, open meadows, and mature hardwood forest.
