The member-owned Country Club of Jackson in Mississippi installed new greens in 2009, and for most of the years since they have provided superb putting conditions for the private-club members. The work started in February, and for a couple of months the Dogwood-Azalea course remained playable in part for the members. But it finally closed in April, and just reopened before Labor Day Weekend.

University of Texas won the men’s team title, and South Carolina secured the women’s team championship Wednesday in the Jackson T. Stephens Cup at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco. Named in honor of the late Jackson (Jack) T. Stephens, the former Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club, The Jackson T. Grass League today announced that the Boulders Resort & Spa Scottsdale, in Scottsdale, Arizona and Indian Wells Golf Resort in Indian Wells, California – two Troon-managed properties – will host the semifinals and finals of the Grass League Match Series powered by Blue Tees. The Boulders Resort will host two semifinal matches; the first on September 19 on the South Course and the second on October 6 on the North Course. Indian Wells Golf Resort’s Celebrity Course will host the finals on November 13, 2026. Under Grass League rules, both courses will be modified to par 54 layouts, featuring all par-three holes.

The dichotomy of the two sudden-death playoff competitors was intriguingly sharp in contrast. On the 18^th tee Wednesday afternoon stood Kevin Hall – a veteran of the APGA Tour since its inception in 2010 – and 21-year-old Grant Lester, who by his own admission, turned pro “technically yesterday. I’ve been a pro for, like, 36 hours.” Hall, who turns 44 next week, captured his ninth career APGA Tour title at the APGA at Mission Hills on Mission Hills Country Club’s Pete Dye Challenge Course.

World No. 1 and three-time champion Nelly Korda will look to become the first four-time winner of an LPGA Tour event since tournament namesake Annika Sörenstam in 2005 when she tees it up in November at The ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, the penultimate event for the 2026 LPGA Tour season. The ANNIKA will take place Nov. 9-15 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Fla., where the world’s top female professional golfers will compete for a share of the $3.25 million purse, one of the largest purses on the LPGA Tour outside of the major championships.
