The Golf Tournament Association of America (GTAA) today announced that its flagship guidebook, “How to Produce a Successful Golf Tournament,” has surpassed 250,000 copies sold, making it the No. 3 best-selling golf book of all time — trailing only Harvey Penick’s Little Red Book, which has sold 1.1 million copies, and Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons, with 900,000 copies sold.

Jack Nance served the Carolinas Golf Association for more than four decades, including 33 years as Executive Director, establishing the CGA as one of the most respected and largest golf associations in the United States. Fox served as Executive Director of the Arkansas State Golf Association (ASGA) from 1990 until his retirement in 2024. During his tenure, the association’s championship schedule grew from six events to 30, membership reached an all-time high of nearly 20,000, and its scholarship program expanded from four annual recipients to as many as 20. He was also instrumental in developing the ASGA’s partnership with Simmons Bank and establishing the Simmons Bank Cup.

England Golf, the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA) and the Golf Club Management Association are urging every golf club to contribute to a major national study that will establish the most detailed picture yet of water use and resilience across the golf sector. The Golf Sector Resilience and Alternative Water Supply Options project is being led by the Retailer Wholesaler Group’s Water Efficiency Sub-Group, which brings together wholesale and retail water companies, in partnership with the Environment Agency.

Sentosa Golf Club’s place at the world’s top table of tournament venues was further underlined today as the DP World Tour and Asian Tour announced a co-sanctioned 2027 Deutsche Bank Singapore Open on The Serapong for 15-18 April. The announcement extends Sentosa’s storied legacy of hosting some of the world’s most iconic tournaments since the Singapore Open made its debut at The Serapong course on the Asian Tour in 2005, when Adam Scott captured the first of his three titles, before the marquee years from 2009-2012 when it was co-sanctioned by the European and Asian Tours.
