Justin Hicks Claims Low PGA of America Golf Professional Honors in Senior PGA Championship Debut

Madison Le Fires Record 63 to Lead Big West Women’s Championship

Long Beach State senior Madison Le delivered a historic opening round at the 2026 Big West Women’s Golf Championship, carding a bogey-free, program-record 9-under-par 63 to seize a six-shot individual lead after Day 1 at Ka’anapali Golf Resort in Lahaina, Maui. Le closed strong with three consecutive birdies to finish the round, setting the lowest score in LBSU women’s golf history. In the team standings, UC Davis leads the nine-team field after an opening-round 285 (-3), with Long Beach State and Cal Poly tied for second at 287 (-1). Eleven players finished at even par or better as favorable conditions produced low scores across the board. The 54-hole championship continues Monday with 36 holes remaining and an automatic NCAA regional berth on the line.
