The Bank of Utah Championship celebrated its community partnerships by announcing more than $400,000 in investments supporting Utah students and young athletes through three charitable initiatives. Investments totaling $438,718.52 benefited The Policy Project, First Tee – Utah and the Utah Golf Legacy Fund. The Utah Golf Legacy Fund received $303,508.42, including $100,000 from the Utah Golf Association.

Throughout the month, these facilities will display pink-checkered flags on their 18th greens and host various fundraising events supporting PLAY for P.I.N.K.® and other breast cancer charities. GOLFTEC, the world's largest golf coaching and technology company, has a record seven coaches named to Golf Digest's 2027-2028 Best Young Teachers in America list. Josh Troyer, Connie Chen and Bryan Collins, all based at GOLFTEC's Englewood, Colo. headquarters, return to the list this year, as does Jacob Babcock from the company's Mequon, Wis. center. Three GOLFTEC coaches earned the recognition for the first time: Zach Estridge, who teaches in Eagan, Minn.; Mike Ray, based in San Antonio; and Eric Jordan, based in Durham, N.C.

BYU sophomore Kihei Akina, who captured NCAA Freshman of the Year honors last season, has signed an agreement to represent PING, company CEO & President John K. Solheim announced. He won twice his freshman season and earned a spot on the 2026 U.S. Walker Cup team. As part of the agreement, Akina will play 14 PING clubs, carry a PING bag and wear a PING hat in all tournaments and appearances outside of his collegiate events.
