Defending champion Rory McIlroy and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler headline THE PLAYERS Championship – the PGA TOUR’s flagship event – this weekend on NBC and Peacock from TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach. NBC Sports presents live championship coverage this Saturday, March 14 at 2 p.m. ET and Sunday, March 15 at 1 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. THE PLAYERS has been held at TPC Sawgrass’ Stadium Course, which features the iconic 17^th hole island green since 1982. Its 52^nd edition features the highest single-event purse at $25 million.

Following the global celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8, golf facilities around the world are being encouraged to turn awareness into action by registering to host an event for Women’s Golf Day, May 26- June 2, 2026 — a global initiative designed to welcome more women and girls into the sport. Women are one of the fastest-growing segments in golf. In the United States, approximately eight million women play golf, representing 28% of all on-course golfers, the highest level ever recorded. Since 2019, female participation has grown by roughly 2.5 million players, accounting for around 60% of the net growth in the game according to the National Golf Foundation. 

The Indoor Golf Alliance (IGA), in partnership with Yardstick, has launched the IGA Community on Reddit, a new online hub designed to connect the rapidly growing indoor golf industry. The new IGA Community will help organize these conversations and provide a central place for the industry to learn, collaborate, and grow.

Bay Club locations across Southern California, Northern California and the Pacific Northwest will host a series of events and activities, including pickleball, golf, and tennis tournaments, March 13 – 16 to raise money for ALS research. Across all 26 Bay Club locations, members and guests are invited to take part in special programming, tournaments, and giving opportunities in partnership with Augie’s Quest to Cure ALS. As part of the four-day fundraiser, Fairbanks Ranch Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. will host the Augie’s Quest Classic golf tournament on Monday, March 16. 100 percent of the proceeds raised over the four days will go directly to Augie’s Quest to Cure ALS, a 501(c)(3) organization.

SaddleBrooke TWO, a premier master-planned community north of Tucson, will host the 27^thannual MountainView Collegiate March 20-22 at The Preserve Golf Club. This highly anticipated tournament will bring together 16 Division I women’s golf programs from across the country for three days of elite competition. Golf fans are invited to attend the tournament free of charge and walk the course alongside the athletes. Starting times will run from 7:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, with Sunday’s final round beginning at 7:45 a.m. with a shotgun start.

Defending champion Ingrid Lindblad and two-time champion Hannah Green headline an elite field of early commitments for the 2026 JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro, featuring many of the world’s top-ranked players, major champions, USC and UCLA alumni and several players with Los Angeles connections. Taking place at El Caballero Country Club April 16-19, the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro is Los Angeles’ premier LPGA event and the 2024 LPGA Tournament of the Year.
