Interest Builds Around TPT Pulse Putter Shafts Following Launch
Following the launch of its new Pulse putter shaft platform, TPT Golf is seeing growing interest around a product that brings the brand’s performance-led engineering philosophy to the greens. Pulse marks TPT’s first dedicated putter shaft family and represents the evolution of technology that has already proven itself at the highest level of the game. Until now, variations of this construction had only been available through limited, bespoke LAB putter builds on Tour. Pulse takes the same principles and applies them to a standalone shaft platform designed for use with traditional putter heads and standard hosel configurations.

PGA of America Appoints Terry Clark as Chief Executive Officer
The PGA of America announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Terry Clark as chief executive officer, effective March 2. Kerry Haigh will continue to serve as interim CEO until Clark assumes the role in March. Clark has served as an independent director on the PGA of America Board since 2024. He joins the Association from UnitedHealth Group, where he most recently served as chief marketing officer and led enterprise-wide marketing, brand, and customer experience for the Fortune 3 company. His responsibilities spanned a complex, global organization serving consumers, businesses, and government partners.

It offers the most comprehensive, accurate and current compensation data in the industry, enabling NGCOA members to easily compare compensation levels and benefit policies among their peer golf course businesses.
January 2026 Pellucid – January Weather: Positive, With Caution
January weather turned in an unusually strong positive result, registering +35% vs. Year Ago (YA) for Golf Playable Hours at the national level. That’s also the Year-to-Date (YtD) figure with only 1 month in the books. The YtD regional breadth metric was, not surprisingly, favorable at a 2:1 ratio comprised of 13 favorable regions vs. 6 unfavorables, 2 in the neutral zone (+/- 2%) and 24 out-of-season. The Toro Company Again Gives $50,000 To Support Rounds 4 Research Program
The GCSAA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), has received another $50,000 grant from The Toro Company Foundation for continued support of the Rounds 4 Research (R4R) program in 2026. With this contribution, The Toro Company has donated $700,000 to the program over the past 14 years. Rounds 4 Research is designed to address a critical shortage in turfgrass research funding by auctioning donated rounds of golf online.
