he world’s No. 1 golfer used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ Hybrid Tour X-flex shaft in his utility (3) iron in a dominating victory at the FedEx St. Jude Championship Sunday (Aug. 16) in Memphis.
The 30-year-old Texan shot a 17-under par total with rounds of 68-61-68-66—263 to win the first tournament in the FedEx Cup Playoffs by eight strokes. His pursuit of the FedEx Cup and PGA Tour Player of the Year honors will continue later this week at the BMW Championship in outside St. Louis.

Island Resort & Casino will once again welcome some of the nation’s top collegiate men’s golf programs to the Upper Peninsula over Labor Day weekend, September 6 and 7, 2026, for the seventh annual Island Resort Intercollegiate at Sage Run Golf Course. Hosted by South Dakota State University, the 54-hole, two-day stroke-play tournament has established itself as a premier early-season event on the collegiate golf calendar. The 2026 field of twelve NCAA Division I programs includes defending champions, West Virginia University, the University of Michigan, the University of Central Florida, Miami (OH) University and Marquette University
Salgados Golf Club to Host Edga Tour Event 15 – 17, November 2026
Salgados Golf Club on Portugal’s southern Algarve coast will host an EDGA (European Disabled Golf Association) Tour event from 15 to 17 November 2026, welcoming 60 golfers with disabilities from around the world for a week of competitive play. The event begins with a practice round on Sunday, November 15, followed by championship rounds on Monday and Tuesday. Landscapes Golf Management’s inaugural “Lead the Way on the Longest Day” summer solstice program raised $65,000 for On Course Foundation and charities local to 25 participating golf courses, country clubs and destination clubs in the company’s portfolio. Sioux Falls Golf (S.D.) – comprised of Elmwood, Prairie Green and Kuehn Park courses – led the way with 560 golfers across 54 holes while Broadlands Golf Club (Broomfield, Colo.) and Shoreline Golf Course (Carter Lake, Iowa) recorded 258 and 185 players, respectively.
PGA NCCGA National Championship Returns to Hot Springs Country Club
The PGA National Collegiate Club Golf Association (NCCGA) announced its National Championship will return to Hot Springs (Arkansas) Country Club, April 24-25, 2027. The PGA NCCGA National Championship features more than 200 collegiate club golfers for Individual and Team 36-hole stroke play competitions. The governing body for collegiate club golf, the NCCGA assists students in starting, maintaining and facilitating club golf tournaments regionally and nationally.

Tizayi Sithole selected to receive the 2026 Larry Powell Scholarship
Tizayi Sithole has been named the recipient of the 2026 Larry Powell Scholarship from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). Sithole is currently pursuing a master’s degree in turfgrass science management through Penn State World Campus and serves as an assistant superintendent at the Country Club of New Canaan in New Canaan, Conn. The scholarship, funded by donors through the GCSAA Foundation, is named after 52-year GCSAA member Larry Powell, superintendent at Clearview Golf Club in East Canton, Ohio.
